Hopefully you guys didn't wait too long for me. I checked in around 9:00 or 9:15 but saw it hadn't started yet. Since I wasn't going to pick for another 150 picks or so I was going to come back and check in from time to time. Unfortunately I wasn't feeling well yesterday and fell asleep before my pick.
Around what time did you guys finally get to the 16th round?
Also, what did you use to auto draft me because I honestly can't tell at all. I do know it wasn't points or even Yahoo rankings.

Sorry to hear. It was kinda brutal having to make so many proxy picks, especially w/ the poor Yahoo Commish tool (for doing add/drops).  IIRC, the 16th round rolled around probably some time around 10pm EST or so -- checking the Yahoo transaction log shows that it started ~9:45pm EST when it was Guru's Island BP's turn to make his pick. Basically, for missing team owners who did not give me any other instructions, I went w/ Yahoo O-rank for the most part and only skipped a few obvious duds (to be reconsidered in much later rounds). In the later rounds, we also decided it made more sense to try to fill holes and not just go by O-Rank. And when it got to drafting tons of RPs, I also made some decisions to skip most of the tightly packed, low ranking RPs I knew nothing about -- and they also don't seem to have done anything worth mentioning at all. There were a few cases where I went back near the top of the O-Rank to take certain known/proven (but likely injury-comeback) guys late in the draft. If you want to get more details on how/what happened, it's probably best to go through the draft transcript posted here -- and you can sync it up w/ Yahoo's transaction log to get specific times. If there's a specific question about something, eg. a particular player choice, let me know and I'll try to give you more details on it. I'll probably need to go thru the transcript myself to remember exactly why/how things went. Hope that helps... |

You will have to wait til after the draft like anyone else who completely missed the live draft -- there's only <2 rounds left anyway, and you still have 2 more picks to come. Otherwise, we would have utter chaos on our hands before the draft is even completed. And that would be besides whether it's fair to those of us who had to endure 4-5 hours of drafting last night  or the rest who have the understanding that they must wait. IF there is some specific player you want, maybe you can work out an agreement w/ another team owner to make that pick for you and then officially do a trade w/ you in Yahoo. IIRC, some team owners liked some of the RPs you got (if you check the transcript), and maybe they'll do such a swap w/ you. |
