The hitting stats of this points sytem is explained at this site. While at first glance they may seem kind of screwy, I have been using them in the HTF League and they are yielding some pretty tight races. www.baseballstuff.com/btf/scholars/furtado/articles/IntroducingXR.htmHittingAt bat (-.09) Single (.59) Double (.81) Triple (1.13) Home Run (1.53) Sacrifice Hit/Bunt (.04) Sacrifice Fly (.37) Stolen Base (.18) Caught Stealing (-.32) Walk/Hit by Pitch (.34) Intentional Walk (-.009) Strikeout (-.008) Ground into Doubleplay (-.28) PitchingInning Pitched (1) Win (1) Loss (-1) Complete Game (.5) Save (1.50) Run Allowed (-.5) Earn Run Allowed (-.5) Save Oppertunity (-1) Hold (.50)

Hi there. Just wanted to comment on the points system.
Yeah, the race is fairly tight. However, we might want to point out that Runs and RBIs were added to the system and do not actually exist in the Extrapolated Runs formula. Also, when I proposed the system, I forgot to include hit-by-pitch, which is no big deal although a few good players do have noticeably higher HBPs than others.
Also, XR is really only an offensive formula, so the pitching side was designed to balance against it in a simple, but reasonably sound, way, including the inclusion of pitching K's to balance against the addition of Runs and RBIs.

HBP is valued same as a regular BB, so it's .34.
