If you choose "Other", please post your preference(s).
Also, if possible, please post a list of all the draft times that would work ok for you even if they are not your most prefered times. In the end, we want to set up a time that everyone can make for the draft.
If we cannot find a good time to suit everyone, we can still do proxy picks for the one or two team owners who can't make it provided those owners submit a pre-ranked players list for us to use on their behalves.

I can't vote (because I still haven't had my account approved) but I'd prefer either Thursday night or Sunday night.

G'day Fellas'
Due to my location in Australia there are a number of times that I just can't make as they fall into work hours. These are 9pm EST 23 March (Thursday), noon EST 26 March Sunday, & 9pm EST 26 March (Sunday). That's why I've voted for 4pm EST 25 March (Saturday) as that's 8am Sunday in Aussie time. If this didn't suit then I could do 9pm EST 24 March (Friday) or 9pm EST 25 March (Saturday). Sorry to be a pain but the time zone makes it really difficult.

Since Steve (New Aussie Convicts) can only make it for Friday night or the Saturday times EST, can everyone do one of those times -- probably the Saturday times -- to accommodate? If everyone can do one of those times, that would probably be best. If not, I guess Steve will just have to provide a pre-ranked list for me to make the picks on his behalf.

Friday or Saturday is OK for me. The 9 PM EST time is best - likely to have the fewest distractions taking place.

I have a suggestion:
How about if we start the draft immediately after the draft order is determined by posting to a special thread on this board. This "slow" draft will have no time limit and will continue until the agreed upon time for the live draft, at which time the draft continues with the standard fast draft time limits. On the down side, a single owner can stall the slow part of the draft completely by not drafting when his turn comes up. But if this doesn't happen, maybe we can get at least the top rounds out of the way before the live draft, so that missing the live draft would not be so critical.

If we do that, how 'bout capping the time limit at 24 hours then?

There is already an implied time limit--the amount of time until the live draft + live draft time limit. Since we don't have that many days left before the season starts, the slow portion of the draft will only be meaningful if everyone with draft picks in the early rounds cooperate, and enforcing an additional time limit at this point probably will not change that. A time limit may be useful in future years if we have more time to set up a proper slow draft.

Anyone else care to offer input on the idea of starting out w/ a slow draft for a few days before the normal/fast draft?
Anyone else want to change their vote to one of the Saturday times? I seriously doubt Friday night would work.

I'm fine with Saturday 25th. and 9 PM EST is very good for me. (9:30 PM might be even better).
About the slow draft, I would simply suggest that drafting could begin several days ahead of the offical draft. No clock would be needed although it would be helpful if people did check in regularly to see if their turn was coming up.

i think the slow draft is a great idea. it will get some of the early rounds out of the way, before the actual draft starts.

Since nobody has objected to starting out w/ a "slow" draft and then leading into the regular live draft on a date/time that's yet to be set (though most likely 9pm EST on either Thursday 3/23 or Sunday 3/26), we will go ahead w/ that shortly -- possibly tonight. Please prepare yourselves for the draft now that the list of player drops and the draft order have been announced.

If there are no objections, let's push the live draft to 9pm EST on Sunday 3/26 to give us extra time to run the "slow" draft. Maybe by then the remainder FA pool will be thin enough that missing the live draft won't be that critical -- and the missing owners would be ok w/ just submitting pre-ranked lists for me to pick as their proxy.
FYI, you are welcome to send me a short list to make a pick or two on your behalf during the "slow" draft also.

I cannot do Sunday - Ithought we had more or less settled on tonight or Saturday and the question was time.

I had decided to push it to Sunday because many of the Thursday voters said Sunday would be fine also and that would give us more time to run the "slow" draft so that missing the "live" draft won't be so critical for anyone. I didn't know Sunday is a problem.
Would Monday night at 9pm EST work for everyone then (other than Steve from 1/2-way around the world)? Guess I could maybe set up another poll perhaps.
